Greater Is He That Is In Me…
Goliath was a very huge man. Probably much amount was spent to build him up and to maintain him. He might have been trained in the best of skills of warfare and was probably able to combat any type of opposition. I believe basing all his hopes on these, Goliath challenged the Lord God continuously for forty days, and guess what - God did not have to send an equally physically strong and skilled person to bring him down. Five smooth stones picked up from the brook by a Spirit filled faithful young boy who had a zeal for God were enough to collapse and foil all the rebellion built against God.
There is no comparison ever against God’s strength-for our great and benevolent King – our Lord God is Sovereign overall and will remain so forever.
Our battles belong to the Lord. We need to stand strong, be filled with His Spirit, bearing His name and combat every challenge in life, knowing that He Who is in us is and will always be Greater than he that is against us.
