The Best Has Given His Best, Yet His Heart Is Deeply Upset.
God is perfect in everything that He does and when it is with regards to the provisions for our life, He has never been slack in anything.
“And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah,
Judge, please, between Me and My vineyard.
What more could have been done to My vineyard
That I have not done in it?
Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes,
Did it bring forth wild grapes?
Isaiah 5:3-4 (NKJV)
This is the cry of God’s heart!
Having received all goodness from God alone, we have chosen to forget Him, have become thankless and chosen instead to give all our reverences to our evil and deceitful passions and pursuits.
This is what God says He will do…
“And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard:
I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned;
And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down.
I will lay it waste;
It shall not be pruned or dug,
But there shall come up briers and thorns.
I will also command the clouds
That they rain no rain on it.”
Isaiah 5:5-6 (NKJV)
We exist by God’s grace, and if ever He pulls out His defense from our life, we be like a plated prey before the devil.
The only reason that the devil could not initially trouble Job in the Bible was because God had bound Job and all his household with a mighty and strong hedge.
This is what John the Baptist preached to the people of his generation and I believe it is valid even for today’s time…
“Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matthew 3:8-10 (NKJV)
Paul exhorts us to walk worthy of the blessed calling with which the Lord has called us.
“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Ephesians 4:1 (NKJV)
The Best has given His best,
Yet His heart is deeply upset.
As He sees us go astray,
From His perfect & blessed way
To be holy like Him we’re called
To be perfect in all our ways
Let’s be on the watch for this,
To glorify Him all of our days
He alone is all our blessedness,
And in Him alone our defense is set.
Let us resolve by His strength for this,
In my life my Savior shall never be upset.
God Bless
