Jesus quite often spoke to the disciples about things which had not yet occurred. He did this so that later when these events would occur, they would believe in Him even more. Jesus foretold of Hid death and resurrection, the coming of the Holy Spirit, the desecration of the temple in Jerusalem, and other things as well, some of which that have still not yet come to pass.
Do you believe in the occurrences of events which Christ foretold which have not yet occurred? I have absolutely no reason to doubt that what our Lord has foretold will occur. Believe that which the Lord proclaims. It is the one place where you certainly will find truth.
