Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13:14-15 NIV

As Christians, we by definition follow in the steps of our Lord and Savior. We put into practice to the best of our ability that which we have learned from the Master.

So, how do we wash the feet of others? We take the focus off ourselves and put it into helping others. This does not mean that we don’t take care of our health and other important things, but the focus of our lives cannot be on us and what can or will others do for us. God provides to us what we truly need. We need to help others. Have you ever noticed that if you feel down at times and then focus on helping others rather than thinking about your situation that you start to feel better? That should be saying something to you.

Wash one another’s feet.
