It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. John 13:1 NIV

Who are His own mentioned herein? I believe it refers to all those who are called to the Lord, who believe in and follow Him. Yes, it was referring to His disciples, who had forsaken everything to follow Him. But it also I believe refers to all of us, today, who follow in our Lord’s steps.

What about love them to the end? Does this refer to the limitlessness of His love for all who belong to Him both in terms of space and time? Is His love for us eternal and stretch beyond the limits of human comprehension? I would say yes! His love is that way. Live knowing there are no boundaries to Christ’s love for you!
