Lord God,

I thank you for the law enforcement agencies of our country,

That you have placed over us,

To maintain peace and stability while protecting us from harm,

And to ensure that the law is kept and justice reigns,

Please bless all of the law enforcement officers of our country,

And grant them strength and wisdom as they carry out their duties,

Please protect them from harm as they seek to protect others,

And teach them to maintain their integrity in all that they do,

Please teach them to be of sound judgement as they uphold the law,

And help them to guard against showing partiality,

Where force is necessary in the carrying out of their duties,

Guard them against going beyond what is necessary,

And against abusing their power over others,

But teach them to serve the community with love and compassion,

I pray that where deceit and corruption have taken place in law enforcement,

May you raise up the necessary checks and balances,

So that those who have abused their position of power,

Would be brought to account for their actions,

I also pray for healing for those who have suffered injury on the job,

May you provide the care and support that our law enforcement officers need,

And help them to recover from any traumas they have experienced,

As they daily confront the great evils in our society,

I also pray that you would especially work through the law enforcement of our country,

For the good of the church,

May you raise up law enforcement officers who will uphold the rights of your people,

And protect them from all harm and discrimination,

I pray that through your provision of law enforcement agencies over us,

May all your people continue to live peaceful and fruitful lives,

Worshipping you with freedom,

And proclaiming the gospel far and wide.
