Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him. John 12:17-18 NIV

Can you imagine all the excitement that was felt as word of what Jesus had done spread, and as many more went out to meet Him as He drew nigh to Jerusalem? Yet how many of those that did so would stand amongst the crowd five days later, demanding that He be crucified? What caused the change in their actions? Well, for many there a true change in heart did not occur. They went out due to curiosity rather than a deep desire to have a change in heart.

Today, we must truly look deep inside ourselves and determine, do we truly love the Lord with our whole heart, mind, and soul, or are we just curious? Do we obey the Lord, do we come to Him remorseful and seeking pardon when we sin? God knows each of our hearts and we will be judged accordingly on judgement day. No one can fool God. May you truly belong to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
