Moved And Troubled

 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. John 11:33 NIV

What is the deeply moved in spirit referring to? Our Lord was impacted by the weeping of Mary and those around her. Our Lord went beyond sympathy for these present. He was showing empathy. He was able to truly relate to what they felt.

And what about being troubled? If Christ knew that He would raise Lazarus, why would He feel troubled? I believe our Lord truly wanted to feel what these here were feeling.

Don’t ever go before the Lord thinking that He does not truly know what you feel and can empathize with you. The tears you shed are also in His eyes and the trouble within your heart is felt by Him. Our Lord is truly there for you.
