It was now time to visit the tomb which held the body of Lazarus. Only Christ knew what was in store. I wonder what transpired as they walked from the site outside the village where Jesus and Mary were talking to the tomb site.
We know that the emotions of our Lord were deeply disturbed as had been mentioned prior and would show in a visible manner in the following verse. Surely there was more crying by the mourners as they went out to the tomb. Death was about to be conquered through the command of the One who alone can save us!
