Did Martha dare to think the impossible, even though she dare not say it? Had not the messengers brought back words from the Lord saying that this situation was not to result in death? Martha knew that Christ came from the Father, and that He was united in thought and word with the Father. She knew that the Father would grant what He, the Lord, asked of the Father. Did Martha know of Jesus raising the bodies of the twelve year old daughter of Jairus and the son of the widow? Was this too much for her to consider, too much to ask from the Lord? I do believe that Martha was very comforted in that Christ was present and just did not know what to think as to what would happen.

When we pray to the Lord, we might not know what specifically will happen, but we can be sure that the Lord will provide for us according to His will, and it will be that which we truly need.
