“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:21 NIV

Martha, in a matter of fact manner stated that if the Lord had been present, her brother Lazarus would not have died. She sure did show some faith here. She knew that Jesus was capable of healing her brother. The problem appeared to have been that Jesus had not been present. But even this woman who had shown faith was still lacking more faith. Jesus does not and did not need to be physically present to heal. He had healed the centurion’s servant without being present. Jesus is capable of healing if there is faith enough in the heart of the believer. Jesus does not need to be present in body for His miracles to occur.

Jesus is ever present in our midst if we trust and believe. Turn to the Lord with the desires and needs of your heart. Know that He shall provide that which you truly need. Rest in Him!
