The Pharisees' Question

Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath. Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.” John 9:14-15 NIV

The Pharisees only asked the man how he was healed because of the fact that it was done on a Sabbath. They really cared nothing about the fact that he was healed. They only cared about the fact it was done on a Sabbath and thus violated one of their man-made laws. They thought they knew what God desired, but such was not the case.

The man told the Pharisees what he had told his neighbors and those who had seen him as a beggar. He did not mention the name of Jesus in his response to them as he had earlier.

Are our questions to Jesus only about our needs, or are they more concerned about needs of others, and then praise to Him for who He is and what He has already done for us? Be sure to pray for others individually and collectively.
