And Now The Woman

 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” John 8:10 NIV

Now with the hypocritical leaders dismissed Jesus was in a position to speak with the adulteress. Notice that He does not here speak specifically of her transgression, but rather speaks of what had been her accusers. Jesus wants her to look around and let Him know if anyone is there to accuse her.

Jesus accuses no one. He speaks against wicked actions. What condemns people are the very evil acts which they commit. Jesus did not come to accuse but to save those who believe in Him. He came to offer a new life, a life freed from slavery to sin. This does not mean that we shall no longer sin, but we shall no longer be enslaved to the chains of sin. We who believe belong to Christ!
