Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. John 8:8 NIV
So why did Christ stoop down to the ground a second time during this encounter with His adversaries? First off, I believe He was still making the point to those against Him that He was not going to judge the case which they have placed before Him. I also believe He stooped down waiting for the accusers to leave one by one. He felt no need to gloat over that which He had said to them that would send them away. Maybe His accusers would have stayed longer to argue or antagonize Him if He had remained in an upright manner.
Jesus did not want the attention on Him and so He stooped down again. With us our attention should not be on us but on our Lord and being obedient to Him.
