Just as a prize fighter moves in for a final punch of his opponent in the boxing ring, so the adversaries moved in continuing to ask Jesus for an answer to their question. Our Lord finally stood up, and with one statement totally stunned all His adversaries. It was like a knockout punch from a boxer who was hanging onto the ropes for balance. His comment was absolutely core wrenching and hit them hard at the core of their hypocrisy. One by one all those with the intent of stoning the adulteress woman and accusing the Lord of wrong-doing left. For one time what our Lord said had hit home, even to those who hated Him.

May all that the Lord conveys to you sink deeply into your heart and inspire you to be all that He wants you to be for the advancement of God’s kingdom.
