His brothers, believing that Jesus was the first born of Mary and Joseph would certainly have had doubts about Him telling them that He was the Messiah, God’s Chosen One. They most likely also believed like many that the Messiah would come to establish an earthly kingdom, restoring to Israel all that God had promised. Yet Christ would have none of the such. So, His brothers probably grew tired of that which Christ taught and would not believe in Him. Thankfully, we see in the first chapter of Acts that His brothers were gathered together with the disciples on the day of Pentecost. Through His resurrection they came to believe in Him.
