The Father Draws Us To His Son

“Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day". John 6:43 44 NIV

First Jesus must work to get the attention of the Jews back to Him so He tells them to quit their grumbling. What He has to say to them is important for them to hear, so He wants their attention. Although they individually or collectively could seek out Jesus physically, they could of their own not seek Him spiritually. We live in sin and are spiritually dead until and unless our heart and soul become aware of our being lost without God. If the heart is truly wanting to repent from living a life deep in sin, the Father shall draw that one to the Son, through whom salvation is made available. The Son of God is the only source of eternal life. The soul becomes alive that belongs to the Lord. At the last day the believer’s body will be raised and changed to a heavenly body to be united with the soul of the believer in heaven.
