At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?” John 6:41-42 NIV

The human mind of its own is quite limited in its ability to comprehend. Only with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit can thought of God even remotely be able to be understood by the human mind. The Jews present knew of Joseph and Mary so it is understandable that they would wonder about Him saying that He came down from heaven. And how could this man be bread of any kind? Yes, the human mind is limited in ability to comprehend the workings of God. But God dwells within the heart of those who believe in the Son through the gift of the Holy Spirit. We do not deserve all that God gives to us, yet He chooses to be loving and richly blesses those who believe in the Father and the Son. Never lose sight of the blessings showered upon you by God!
