We have all heard the saying “Seeing is believing.” But believing is depended upon faith and faith is believing in that which we cannot see. How short sighted one would be if they were to say that they would only believe in that which they could see. It would be hard to believe much if that were the case.
These people who stood before our Lord wanted proof of what He was saying. They could not accept Him at His word. How sad that is. Jesus offers so much to us if we will just believe in Him. It takes faith to stand out, away from the crowd, and say “Lord I do believe.” Those who do live in the peace and joy which only Christ can provide.
