Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” John 6:8-9 NIV
While Phillip was focused on resources required to obtain that which was needed, Andrew was at least directly looking for that which was required. He did have a question for the Lord, which would certainly seem to be a practical one.
I don’t believe that Jesus minds if we ask Him questions. It at least means we wish to speak with Him. Jesus does though want us to trust in Him and be obedient to His will. Who knows better what we truly need than does our Lord?

That Jesus is okay with us bringing our questions to him is a good point. I am so thankful that he is graceful and patient with our lack of faith sometimes.
