Lord God,

We thank you for all the vibrant and diverse gifts you have blessed your church with,

We thank you for all our brothers and sisters who faithfully serve us each week,

But Lord, so often we forget about the many workers among us,

Who faithfully serve the church behind the scenes,

We thank you that even though these workers may not seem impressive to the world,

They are a vital part of your church and their service is a wonderful blessing,

We thank you for those who take care of the sound and technology each week,

We thank you for those who set up and pack up for us after each service,

We thank you for those who faithfully serve in various administration tasks,

We thank you for those who regularly clean and maintain the church building,

We thank you for those who serve us with food and hospitality,

We thank you for those who count and keep records of church finances,

We thank you for the many generous givers who provide for the church’s needs,

We thank you for the many prayer warriors,

Who faithfully uphold us in prayer and continue to intercede for the ministry of the church,

We thank you for the various church committees and councils,

Who make important decisions about the future of the church,

And who have the responsibility of using the church’s resources wisely,

We also thank you for those who serve us in other ways that we are not even aware of,

Lord, I pray that you would bless all these brothers and sisters in their ministry,

Please convict them of the importance of the work they are doing for you,

And help them to continue serving you faithfully,

Knowing that you are glorified in what they do,

I pray that you would strengthen them to serve you cheerfully and wholeheartedly,

And continue to grow their love for your people,

Please also help to stand firm against the evil one,

Who would tempt them to belittle or ignore the responsibility you have given them to do,

Lord, please use the faithful ministry of these workers,

To grow and strengthen your church.
