Being a gospel minister is not a sentiment. We have a major assignment before us to make disciples of nations. Therefore, we must know what we have been called to do with accuracy and precision.
The Apostles stood for this. Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy and Titus emphasising to them to contend for the faith, and the doctrine of Christ which they had received from him.
"This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightiest war a good warfare; holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck"
1Tim. 18-19
We see from the writings of the Apostles that they never took the issue of doctrine with levity. They taught the same things throughout their epistles, repeating over and over again redemption, forgiveness of sins, justification of life, eternal life, spiritual authority, grace, faith, love, the Christian conduct, Christ's return, etc
The Apostles' flow of thoughts (Convictions) were anchored on the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as the source from which every epistle sprung. Little wonder Apostle Paul said:
"For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified." 1Cor. 2:2
It should also be noted that these epistles were the teachings Jesus Christ taught His disciples after His resurrection when He appeared unto them for 40days before His ascension, revealing to them from the law and prophets things pertaining to Himself.
"To whom also he showed himself alive after His passion by may infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God." Acts 1:3
As our Lord was to be lifted He commanded them, (as well as us) to make disciples of the nations teaching the same things.
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matt. 28:18-20
After His ascension, He further revealed to them things pertaining to Himself from the Scriptures (the Law, Prophets and Psalms) by His Spirit which dwelt in them as He is now in us.
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come." John 16:12-13
"Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen." Acts1:2
"Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel."
Eph. 3:5-6
Now, we are not to dream up revelations, or concoct rhema out of the blues, and say we got them by the Spirit. The Epistles are given to us as accurate and precise revelation of Christ from the Scriptures.
Hence whatever revelation we claim to receive must have its footings in the Epistles, to be acceptable.
Does this mean we should not teach from the Old testament or the Gospel account of our Lord Jesus Christ? No! Rather, we explain the Old Testament in the light of the Gospel and Epistles written to the Church.
We are ministers of the gospel of grace, whether we like it or not, much is expected from us by the Father and the people we are called to wait on.
Let us be faithful ministers of this gospel, by rightly dividing the word and standing for the Truth, for then only will our reward in the hereafter be great and our earthly influence be impactful.
I call you blessed.

The only improvement I could see was that you have made a typo in the paragraph which references Acts 1:3. You have typed 'may' instead of 'many'. Apart from that I couldn't see anything that could improve what you have already written :)
