If you don’t want your kids, I’ll take them,
And make their chances of eternal life very slim.
If you don’t want them to sing in your choir,
I have a position that will earn them a nice spot in my lake of fire.
If you don’t want them to your usher in your church,
For excitement with me, they don’t have to search.
If you don’t want your kids to have a place with you,
I have plenty for them to do.
If you don’t want them to write about spiritual inspiration,
They can write about evil things, and I don’t have great expectations.
If you don’t want them to dance in the spirit to a non-traditional beat,
For a place to dance for me, they don’t have to compete.
If you just want them to sit and warm the pew,
I have much more interesting things for them to do.
If you don’t want your kids, just hand them over to me,
And you ignoring them will make my job so easy
To draw them and to tear them away from the righteous way,
And you open a door of opportunity for me every day
When you don’t sit down and talk to them about what’s right and wrong
And when you choose to go to church and leave them at home.
Continue to go each day without family prayer
And acting as if you have little concern and as if you don’t seem to care.
If you don’t want your kids, I’ll take them, one by one
And make my lake of fire their eternal home.
