Then I shall not be ashamed when I look upon all Your commandments (Psalm 119:6).

Mostly Chinese drama television series mainly focuses on their legendary imperial anecdote. The Imperial court regarded it as powerful, respected, and elegant. The commoner highly respects the authority of the emperor, or else you will get punished.

The phrase “when I look” in verse 6 meaning cause to behave, consider, look down, regard, or have respect. We often follow this practice when someone is in authority over us. King David regarded the Word of God as ordained precepts. Meaning, it has the highest honor, authority, charged, or eternal value in his life.

For example, we knew that David became a brilliant warrior during his time. His influence in combat became a trademark of his nation, authority, and honor. All these blessings are nothing without following the charge of his commander in chief (1 Kings 3:14; 1 Samuel 17:47). He never became a lone ranger fighter; God ordained him to become a warrior and king (1 Samuel 16:12-13,17). However, all his successes and failures measured by his heart desires (Psalm 119:7, 34; 63:1; 51:1-2).

We always remember that God “favored” those who seek, observe, walk, keep, and learn from His Word every day. He doesn’t want you to get anxious, disappointed, dejected, and abandon but to be firm, certain, directed, and faithful. (Psalm 119:1-8; Jn. 8:31).

Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
