A Grandchild’s Debt

Father I thank You for Grandmother’s prayers
A woman of faith, yet she knew the world’s cares
Those prayers formed in love held immeasurable power
Each word reached Your heart, any place any hour

With hands folded close and on labour worn knees
You gathered her tears and heard all anguished pleas
In her heart each grandchild holds his or her place
Her love gives her access to Your special Grace

For each precious soul You have Your unique plan
You know all our burdens as only You can
We each have been blessed by the love that she bears
I know that You answered my Grandmother’s prayers
