"But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because
He knew all men.
And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew
What was in men." John 2:24-25.


Apostle John the beloved is a fit and proper person to have penned the above Scripture verses because he was never wearied of resting in the bossom of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 13:23-25. Jesus loved him very well.
He heard the pumpings in the heart of the Lord.


The quoted verse is worthy to be observed by anyone who does not want to be a victim of human wickedness.
It is sad to note that even among the people of God, evil ones creep in. Angels of darkness appear as angels of light.


Beware!


First Sunday of February 2020, which was the first day of the month, was set aside as a notable day for CAC (Christ Apostolic Church) Orisun Ayo to start its glorious service where the Lord wanted it to be.
That is in Oremeji area of Ibadan in Oyo State. As part of the team that was to plant the church, I was involved in every aspect of the activities to ensure its successful take of.


The first day service witnessed a few people who joined us. Some of them claimed to be happy because they have a church they could attend nearby, others are happy for various other reasons.


There is a sister who had an extra ordinary interest and zeal in the church and its activities. She spoke glowingly of the good potentials of the church success in the area. She was quick to suggest the way out of every difficulty that surfaced. "No problem" was on her lips anytime.
She made herself available for the work of the church and encouraged her children, four of them, to be an asset too. They were readily available for the work of the church and needs of the ministers in charge.


Our sister never failed to speak glowingly of the future growth of the church. She is quick to add to her prayer that the Lord provides the church's permanent site as soon as possible. She never fails to add, "We shall be there together".


Although her activities are commendable, I have reservations in my heart. I never cease to ask myself her motive in doing all that she does. I remember the words of a matured minister of God, about three decades ago. He said that anytime he arrives a new church where he is posted to, he never takes those who attach themselves to him seriously. He said they are never good brothers and sisters. Many times, they are the problems of the assembly but they will be available to impress the new Pastor as committed and faithful member of the assembly.
Watching and praying reveals a lot about them. So it is with this sister.


We never stop to pray and carefully watching.
By the second week of February, rumour started going round that the landlord of where we are occupying are being troubled by moslems not to allow his properties to be used for any Christian activity. The man did not take it seriously, I believe the Lord had touched his heart. Although we are trying to be cautious in all our doings.


Do you know what? It was the sister who came up with many suggestions in respect of who the instigators are. She pointed to some people and ended with a grandpa who did not join us although a prophesed Christian as one of the potential people behind the evil project.


Do you know what? It was on March 14, 2020 that a visit to the venue of the church reveals that it was that "committed sister" that was behind the whole mess. She was using her unholy relationship with the man, the owner of the property, to disrupt the work of God.


Beware of false brethren!


Do not be a false brethren because it has serious implications and penalties. Early in March, this sister was returning to her place of work in Lagos, a journey of about one hundred and fifty kilometres to Ibadan. She lost her bag mysteriously with all the contents missing. We all sympathised with her not knowing that it is a mild way of rewarding her according to her work.


Beware of false brethren! They are everywhere, in big assemblies and small ones. Watch and pray. May you not be a victim of false brethren in Jesus name.
Stay blessed and prepared for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
