Healthy Customs And Habits

We need to have healthy customs and habits which will enable us to live happily always according to God’s will.

Our customs and habits will make our personality, thus we need to be very careful what we choose and follow.

“So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.”

Luke 4:16 (NKJV)

Jesus had this blessed custom of going to the synagogue (to the house of God) on the Sabbath day.

It is said about Daniel that he had a blessed custom of praying three times in a day.

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”

Daniel 6:10 (NKJV)

I believe this is really a good practice/habit and which is worthy of being followed.

Praying three times a day….

Morning: Start the day with the Lord God (Thank God for everything and commit your day with all your cares and worries to the Lord God)

Afternoon: Continue your day with the Lord God (Thank God for His presence and provisions until the afternoon and bring before Him any further cares and worries)

Evening/Night: End your day giving thanks to the Lord God for His faithfulness and goodness all through the day and ask Him for a peaceful night.

Parents are entrusted to bring up the child in blessed customs so when they grow they should find themselves pleasing God in all they do.

“Train up a child in the way he should go,

And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)

We are who we are due to customs we chose to inherit and follow, let’s now choose the customs God wants us to choose and inherit and follow them to be the person God wants us to be.

God Bless.
