Power And Authority Over Every Plot Of The Devil
Imagine after experiencing a mighty spiritual revival, if the first person you meet is actually the devil, will you be motivated/discouraged? happy/scared? Obviously the message that would go through your mind and heart is that, ‘It’s time for a combat, and I need to win.’
After Jesus had fasted and prayed for forty days, the devil meets him with dreadful temptations, with the only intent to make void all the good that has been done during those days of fasting. Yet our Lord overcame them and triumphed victoriously.
“Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.” Luke 4:14 (NKJV)
The devil uses this same techniques upon all who want to grow spiritually. He is constantly on the lookout with a ‘failure package’, designed and packaged beautifully with a cover of deception. The Christian should be vigilant and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit foil every such plot of satan.
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 (NKJV)
God has given us power and authority over every plot of the devil.
Therefore praise God for the Holy Spirit and strive all the more to continuously grow in the Holy Spirit and thus shall you break the power of the devil always.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
