Lord Save Me From Presumptuous Sins.
If we do not know something, we can easily learn the new thing, however if our previous knowledge is wrong, it will be difficult to learn the new thing, for first the wrong knowledge has to be erased and then the new can be accepted and learnt.
The people of Jesus’s hometown had known Jesus as ‘Joseph’s son’ and as a Carpenter and now it was difficult for them to receive Him as their Lord and Savior.
“He said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’ ”
Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.”
Psalm 19:13 (NKJV)
Our presumptions about God and the people has often prevented us to grow spiritually and thus has made us spiritually immature.
May the Holy Spirit be our guide and teacher and may we always be able to trust fully in God.
