Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Today’s society is obsessed with security for our homes, businesses, family members and our possessions.  Everywhere you go today, you are on some type of surveillance.

The security industry is basking in the windfall of profits from worried and fearful homeowners and businesses world-wide who are shelling out billions of dollars yearly for the  peace and security they believe will protect them.

As Jesus said, “ had the man of the house known at what time the thief was coming he would have been prepared and would not have suffered the loss of his home being broken into. Now what does all this have to do with you and I?

With all the security precautions  we are obsessed with in protecting that which we deem as dear and valuable to us  and our families, we forget one small detail.

Our spiritual security.

Satan is very cunning in his deceptions to the inhabitants of this world and especially those claiming to be Christians, which are more susceptible to his attacks than those claiming no religion at all, or who are avowed atheists.

You see a thief looks for the weakest point to invade a home or to steal from the unsuspecting victim, Satan works in the same way.

How so?

A Christian has a valuable asset and Satan wants to steal that asset. The asset being Eternal Life with Jesus Christ and the Heavenly Father.

When you let your guard down, by leaving a door unsecured, or window unsecured, blinds open  and valuable items left in plain sight and unprotected, the thief then seizes upon this  opportunity to strike, and strike he does, and you suffer the loss.

Satan in his deceptive ways and motives also seeks and waits for the perfect opportunity to strike, and when we as Christians let our guard down by not studying and being in God’s word, we  are weakening our security system, giving Satan the opportunity he seeks to attack.  In Luke 4:1-13, Jesus is confronted and attacked by Satan, but because Jesus has God’s word (sword) in His heart, He inflicts a bitter defeat upon Satan.

We strengthen our security system by not only keeping God’s word in our hearts, but also through consistent daily Bible reading and study we strengthen the armor of security which God’s word provides in our battle with the forces of evil. A force we cannot physically see.

We begin to compromise and capitulate for Political Correctness. We put God on the back burner.

 We open the windows of our minds by watching those things which are not conducive to a Christian characteristic, i.e..,  viewing and enjoying violent & sexually suggestive movies, tv, and sports, un-Christ like activities and behavior not relevant to Biblical teachings, reading those books and magazines which are not Biblically appropriate.
Psalm 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

These activities are all in opposition to Biblical principles, hindering and weakening our relationship with God, and extending a personal invitation for Satan to enter and perform his magical and deceptive tricks in our minds and hearts, which begins to place a wedge, distancing  our relationship with Jesus. By  partaking of these things, we eventually become convinced of Satan’s lies by the actions of our lives.

Folks the churches today are full of Satan’s lies and deceptions invited in by the unsuspecting, as they fell for his lies.     Today, now, is the day for you to examine your security system and make the necessary changes to thwart the enemy of God.      Psalm 119:11   Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Hosea 4:6     My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children                                                                                                                                   

 May God add a Blessing to the going forth of His word
