His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” John 2:5 NIV

Having spoken to Christ, it was now time for Mary to put her faith into action. Since she had been part of the preparation group, she either knew or at least had been introduced to the wedding servants. She knew not what Jesus would do but knew that which needed to be done by those who would take action. So, she simply said to do whatever He said.

Simple faith here. Not knowing the outcome but knowing what was required. Do we have faith, like a small child? Do we truly believe that Christ will provide for us when we come to Him, or are we filled with doubt? Focus not on the specifics of that which you request but know that Christ will provide for you according to that which is really needed. You may not enough know that which you need, but most assuredly the Lord knows. Simple faith. That is what is required.
