“I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.” John 1:34 NIV
John knew for certain that Jesus was the Messiah. As the voice of the one in the desert crying out, he had to testify to the fact that the man coming toward him was God’s Chosen One. Here, coming forward was the Son of God. Oh how John’s heart must have beat quickly. Here was the hour for which He had been called by God. He was not going to miss on testifying to those surrounding him.
What do you feel when you proclaim the Good News to others? Hopefully you feel God’s Spirit within, giving you words to speak. We are the vessel. The Spirit is the provider of the message which we must share. If you know that you will be sharing the Good News, pray that the Spirit will provide you that which is to be spoken. And pray for those with whom you share God’s Word!
