Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ John 1:32-33 NIV

When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming forth from the water after being baptized, he saw the Spirit, in the form of a dove descend upon the Lord and remain upon Him. John had been told that the One on whom the Spirit descended was the appointed One of God. He thus knew that this man was the Blessed One.

God can appear to us in many ways. He is not limited in how He can reveal Himself to a believer. At one time I had a dream where I saw the face of Christ, and what He said to me was “Trust in Me.” Have you had a blessing of the Lord appearing to you? What was your reaction? How blessed it is to have the Lord appear to a believer!
