No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. John 1:18 NIV
No one has ever seen God the Father as He truly is except for Jesus Christ who Himself is God, part of the Holy Trinity. Jesus Christ is closest in relationship to the Heavenly Father. Who is there better to make known the heavenly Father than the One who is closest to Him, His Son, Jesus Christ? The Father wants mankind to know Him, to the extent that our feeble brain can grasp. So, He sent His Son to let us know about Him. We have a much better understanding of the heavenly Father than what is gained through reading the Old Testament. Through this and the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf, the love of the heavenly Father is revealed unto us. Love and serve the Lord and you will know the Father, as the Father and the Son are One!
