“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.” Mark 16:6 NIV

Before this young man in white, an angel sent from God, stood three very frightened women, trembling from head to toe, How heart warming to see him dealing first with their fear. “Do not be alarmed!” Then he tells the three women that he knows why they have come to the tomb. Oh wow, he knows their motive. But then he tells them the amazing and wonderful news. Jesus was no longer there, as He had risen from death! He even pointed to where the body had laid.

Do you remember where you were when you first heard the amazing news about Jesus Christ? Who was with you? What were your thoughts upon hearing the news? Did you immediately believe, or did it take you time to come to believe the truth? This is an important event for each of us. Although we may not have been at the tomb of Christ on that first day of the week, and seen an angel, the message which we have been given is just as powerful as the message that angel shared with those three women 2000 years ago. The truth of the message shall live forever!
