But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. Mark 16:4-5 NIV

How quickly the situation changed for these three women. They looked to see that the large stone had been rolled away. As they ran to the tomb, what thoughts went through their minds? Maybe something like: Who moved the stone? Is the Lord’s body still there, or has it been taken away? Entering the tomb they see a young man in a white robe sitting to the right of where the body had been placed. I can certainly understand that the women were alarmed. Who was this man and why was he here at the place where the Lord had been laid?

Situations can change in our lives quickly. People that we know or do not know can be present to help us deal with situations which confront us. God is in control and works as He wills for the betterment of us. Do we wonder why those around us do that which they do? Do we trust only in ourselves to deal with situations we face? Do we allow the Lord to use others to help us, or do we try and carry the burden by ourself, saying “I can handle this on my own.” We were not meant to be alone in living life or dealing with difficulties which come our way. Trust the Lord. He often will send others to help you.
