“But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’  Mark 16:7 NIV

First notice that the angel separates the disciples from their leader, Peter. Although all the disciples fled, Peter denied the Lord three times, just as Christ had predicted. Peter must have felt better within that in the proclamation to the women his name was mentioned specifically. And note that the angel makes a promise. The Lord was preceding them all into Galilee, where they would see Him, just as He had foretold.

Have you heard the Savior say your name before in speaking to you? I have. It is certainly wonderful. Our best friend knows each of us by name. Listen to the Lord as He speaks to you. Know that from no one else will you hear the truth which you hear from Him. Be attentive to His word!
