And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!" Mark 15:39 NIV
We should not necessarily take this verse to mean that the centurion was now a believer. The centurion had witnessed the death of Jesus along with the corresponding earthquake (not mentioned by Mark). By Son of God, the centurion was quite likely intending to mean someone who was God-like in character, righteous, holy, and loving.
Are we God-like in character? Does one who see us think that we are a Christian through our speech and our actions? We, as Christians are children of God. We should act and do in a manner becoming of our Lord and Savior!
