The written notice of the charge against him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS. Mark 15:26 NIV
When a defendant appears before a judge in court, the judge will speak to the defendant, telling them the charge leveled against them. How ridiculous is the charge of being a king? Most certainly Jesus Christ is a king, much more than just the king of the Jews. They had no valid charge which they could present about Christ, so instead the charge was just a statement of truth, far beyond that which was stated within the charge.
When you face persecution or suffering for being a follower of Christ, just remember all that He endured for you. You cannot possibly incur the amount of suffering which your Lord endured. The Lord was blameless, innocent, yet He endured all that He did out of obedience to the Father and love for each of us. When you suffer reflect on the sufferings of our Lord. Suffer with and for Him. An eternal reward awaits you!
