Hebrews 12:2a NIV

Lord God,

I thank you for your faithfulness,

And for the unfailing promises to me in your Word,

But so often it seems like my faith is too small,

Even though I know that your Word is true,

And that you will never fail to do what you have promised,

When things become difficult,

I find myself trusting instead in the comforts and securities of this world over you,

Lord, please help my unbelief and grow my faith,

I thank you that everything including our faith is a gift from you,

And that without your help, none of us could have first become believers,

So Lord, please continue to nurture my mustard seed faith,

Even though it can often seem like a slow process,

I pray that you would not give up on the good work you have begun in me,

So that my faith in you,

Would be evident through my abounding in every good work,

I pray that each day you would help me to keep my eyes on Christ,

Help me to resolve to trust in you in every decision I make,

And please be at work through the doubts, challenges and trials that I face,

To make my faith ever stronger in you.
