Lord God,

I thank you for all the godly people you have placed in my life,

Who have helped nurture me in the faith,

Whether it’s first introducing me to the gospel or teaching me your Word,

Or encouraging me to pursue holiness and good works,

Or constantly interceding for me in prayer,

Or rebuking, correcting and challenging me when I needed it,

Or loving me in so many other ways,

And being role models who I can strive to emulate,

I thank you for how you have used each of these people and how you continue to use them,

To help me grow in following Jesus,

But Lord, I know that you have also given me the opportunity and responsibility,

Of building other believers in their faith,

Please open my eyes to see the brothers and sisters around me,

Who I can nurture in the faith,

Lord, give me opportunities to love and serve others,

And to share your Word every day so that the others would be built up,

Help me to be constant in prayer for all those I have the opportunity to disciple,

And please teach me to be above reproach in my everyday life,

So that you may use my every resolve for good,

As an example for others to follow,

I pray Lord that everything I say and do,

Would be done in love for you and your people,

So that through my example,

My brothers and sisters would not be led astray,

But would be strengthened in following Jesus,

So that they would also be able to disciple other believers.
