“God’s Amazing Grace”, How Sweet The Sound

By reading these verses, I imagine a lonely and dejected person sitting aloof inside his house in the dark, who is in utter poverty, afraid, sorrowful and hopeless. The Light goes to him, holds his hand and lifts him up and leads him out from there and into the paths of peace.

Just see, if you feel the same…..

“To give knowledge of salvation to His people
By the remission of their sins,
Through the tender mercy of our God,
With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us;
To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,
To guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Luke 1:77-79 (NKJV)

This is the plan of God which He executes in our lives through His blessed messengers and which was also accomplished through the life of John the Baptist.

The word ‘knowledge’ mentioned above is not just the head knowledge or knowhow but rather the heart knowledge wherein we experience the salvation which the Lord brings into our lives.

God has actioned this benevolence through His tender mercy and thus how grateful should we ever be to Him for His mercy and care.

In the darkest of days, we can look up in hope,

And look to Him –The ancient of days,

His radiance will lead us in the paths of peace,

His glory will delight us and brighten our face

In love and mercy He seeks my peace,

And endeavors swiftly for my release,

From the bonds of sin which have snared me around,

“God’s Amazing Grace”, how sweet the sound

He held my hand and led me through,

From my dark past into His peaceful ways,

A new creation I am in Christ alone,

Now I’ll be hopeful through Him all of my days.
