He Speaks Comfort In The Wilderness

 The deserts and the wildernesses of our life are not meant to break us, but rather to make us.

 “So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.”

Luke 1:80 (NKJV)

 God often takes us through the tough paths and makes us feel the dryness of life, yet His intent is eventually our progress and our betterment.

 “Therefore, behold, I will allure her,

Will bring her into the wilderness,
And speak comfort to her.
I will give her her vineyards from there,
And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope;
She shall sing there,
As in the days of her youth,
As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.”

Hosea 2:14-15 (NKJV)

 When often in the loud sounds of our vain celebrations we fail to hear God’s voice, He has to take us to the silence of the wilderness and speak to us. His speech there is not harsh, disturbing or harmful, rather it is comforting and leads to our progress.

God puts sorrow in our hearts for a noble cause..

“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.”

2 Corinthians 7:10 (NKJV)

 By His very nature – God is slow to anger and abounding in love (Psalms 103:8).

 After we have repented and get right with God, then shall the Lord start to bless us and is also mentioned in the above verse..” I will give her her vineyards from there..”

 The Bible has the wonderful example of Joseph and Daniel who went through tough times, yet were faithful to God and the Lord in due time lifted them up and blessed them.

 If today, we are going through the wilderness experiences, let us not lose heart, but let’s stay strong, for the good Lord and working in us for our good.
