Praying In The Spirit
There are various types of prayers, however blessed are they who pray in the Spirit, for they pray in the will of the Lord and prophesy and in this manner reveal the blessed heart of the Lord.
Zachariah, the Father of John the Baptist prophesied this when John was born and when he received the healing from the Lord..
“…To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.”
This is the will of the Lord for all of us, that we receive freedom from our enemy (the devil) and worship the Lord our God in holiness and righteousness.
I believe the greatest attribute of God is not His awesome and glorious presence, but rather His Agape Love through which He pursues our holiness and righteousness and thus even went to the extent of dying in our stead on the cross to redeem us-just because –HE LOVES US!
Through John the Baptist, the Lord was making a way by his preaching for Jesus Christ, so we had the Creator come down to the earth He created.
The Lord’s purpose has not changed even today, and He is still seeking the freedom for many who are still trapped in their sins so they may be free and worship the Lord in holiness and righteousness.
Lets always earnest desire to pray in the Spirit and reveal the heart of the Lord God in this manner so that many may be blessed knowing the blessed purpose of the Lord for their lives.
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
