Lord God,

I thank you for the huge blessing it is,

Every time new life comes into the world,

I pray especially for this newborn baby Lord,

May your will be done in their life,

I pray that you would please help this child to grow up strong and healthy,

And provide them with the nurture and care that they need,

I pray that you would please provide this baby with a good church community to grow up in,

Full of godly role models and mentors who can help raise them in the faith,

Help them to grow up in the knowledge of your Word,

And teach them to know and love Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour,

I pray also for their parents,

Please empower them by your grace that they would live out the gospel,

In the way that they love and care for their child,

Please give them wisdom and strength for raising and disciplining them in the faith,

And for teaching them your Word faithfully,

I pray that in all things you would strengthen these parents to live as godly examples,

And prepare them for all the joys and challenges of parenthood that are ahead.
