Lord God,

I thank you for this important ministry you have given me to do,

But I admit that often I feel overwhelmed by this task,

Many times, I feel inadequate, fearful and weak,

And I don’t know if anything I’m doing will even make a difference,

Many times, it feels like this ministry is going nowhere,

And I can barely find the strength to continue,

But Lord, I thank you that you can turn our weakness into strength,

And that you use even what limited time, energy and abilities we have,

To work out your good purposes,

Through you Lord all things are possible,

So Lord, please renew my desire to keep serving you this way,

I lift up to you all my plans, vision and hopes for this ministry,

And pray that you would prepare me for the work I have to do,

I thank you Lord that you don’t measure strength and success in ministry,

The same way that the world does,

And that even if this ministry doesn’t seem particularly important to others,

It is valuable to you and brings you glory,

So Lord, please strengthen me to continue this ministry until the finish,

And continue to bear much fruit through this work,

In your timing and not my own.
