TIS THE SEASON - DO IT AFRAID

There have been two deaths in my entourage within the past three months. I just received word of the death of someone today with whom I shared the gospel in the past.   She had cancer and had time to repent; others don’t.

Recently I had an appointment with someone I do not know well and who is a professed atheist.  I had previously made it known that I was a Christian.  I decided to take a Christmas gift for her and to enclose a tract about the Most Wonderful Gift of All. I felt uneasy and fearful, imagining that she would rebuke me soundly, but I did it anyway, with a lot of prayer prior to going. 

She warmly welcomed me and invited me to the café next door to talk over coffee.  Much to my surprise, in the conversation she opened up about the abuse she had endured in the name of God! I could not believe this encounter! We had the most profound conversation and there was nothing to fear. I’m so glad that I obeyed Him. I was able to share specific things that He had done in my life, and His love.  He loves her deeply and wants her to know Him as He is. I don’t think she is an atheist.

Let us be bold, and do it afraid, trusting Him in His leadings in our lives to share the Most Wonderful Gift of All – our most Precious Saviour.
