Lord, where the light is that's where I want to be
Away from the darkness hiding deep inside of me
I want to be a medium for your Spirit to flow
From me to all of those I will meet before I must go
Lord I want to be in and of your light to the world
A beacon of hope to all those who haven't heard
The gospel of Jesus preached in the form of the good word
Send me to the brokenhearted and the needy
To those who don't have anyone else if need be
Lord make me your light to them, equipped with your holy sword
Keep me from the darkness that binds us
Deliver me by the very cross of the Christ Jesus
And let me shine like a lamp upon a stand
Help me to pour your blessing upon the people of this land
And Lord give me your light before my time comes
So that all that I do will reflect all of you
Leave no trace of me in the lives that are reached
But a reminder of you Lord, God of the universe
