Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed, for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened. Mark 6:50b -52 NIV
How often do we shake our heads in reading about the disciples and their lack of understanding the many miracles which the Lord performed in their presence? Before we shake our heads too much at them we first had better check out our own lives and how we have acted or reacted to the Lord working in them. How much faith have we shown? Even faith the size of a mustard seed? We all fall short in our faith at times. Yes, even our hearts have been hardened at times to the workings of the Lord. Does this mean we should give up? Never! The Lord knows our shortcomings, our lack of faith at times. Yet, He never backs down on His love for us. He stands waiting for us to come to Him with the faith which we do have. If our heart is truly that of a repentant sinner, then the Lord welcomes us back. He has no limit to the number of times He shall forgive us. Just do not let your heart remained hardened. Turn your all over to Jesus Christ. Never cease coming to Him!
