He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Mark 6:48-50a NIV
Don’t think for a moment even that when you face trouble that the Lord does not know of your situation. Even though you might not immediately hear from Him nor feel His presence, He is present with you and knows how you feel. Why is it that the Lord might sometimes not feel near when He truly is present? The Lord wants to see how we react to adversity. Do we try and handle it on our own, or do we turn to Him with trust? Faith grows with testing. God answers prayers, but in His way and in His time, not ours. Our spiritual vision is often reduced during times of trial. We must trust always in the Lord. We belong to Him, and He will never forsake us. Cry out to the Lord in your times of trouble and know in your heart that He is there. He will answer you. You must though leave the timing to Him. He will guard and protect you.
